Foreign nationals are sent at the request
of local education agencies to conduct lectures to improve international
understanding.
4. Organization of the International Friendship
Festival
The annual International Friendship
Festival started in 1994 with the goal of raising awareness about the
activities of NGOs and other organizations in Kumamoto that promote
international cooperation.
