The idea of "Voltapas," which came up during that workshop, is now becoming real.
On October 17, 2026, Kumamoto Volters officially announced "Kumamoto Voltapas — Uniting the city with the heat of food."
The project is supported by B.LEAGUE and The Nippon Foundation, and is carried out together with Kumamoto Prefecture's "Shoku no Miyako (Food Capital) Kumamoto" initiative. Your ideas helped make this happen.
The project has two parts:
- VOLTAPAS: a food-walking program in Kumamoto's city center after home games. Fans walk out into the city and enjoy a recommended dish at local restaurants (starting January 2027, trial period).
- VOL GOURMET LABO: a place to create a new dish that truly represents Kumamoto, together with chefs, students, fans and local people.
As the first step of VOL GOURMET LABO, we are holding the "VOL GOURMET Idea Meeting." This time, we will think about new food ideas using Kumamoto tomatoes and citrus. Your ideas started this project, and we would love to build the next step with you.
